In general
Capacitor contactors VIVO are specially designed for switching of capacitor stages in conventional and choked power factor correction systems. We produce and supply capacitor contactors VIVO for switching reactive power up to 50 kvar, 400, 440 a 525 V.

Konstrukce
Contactors are high quality with capable construction, designed for usage in low voltage, three-phase network.Contactors are equipped with auxiliary contacts.

Safety
Installed pre-contacts for soft switching have following functions:
Reduction of inrush current peaks to 70 x I_N.
Protection of capacitors against dangerous inrush peaks (usually more then 200 x I_N).
Improvement of power quality and thus longer life.

Popis

Capacitor contactors VIVO are designed for switching of inductive and low-loss capacitor stages (IEC70 a 831, VDE 0560) with/without reactors.

Capacitor contactors are equipped with pre-contacts and dumping resistors, inrush current peak reduction less then 70 x I_N.
Capacitor contactors are equipped with two/three aux contacts for additional switching.

Function of pre-contacts

Switching with pre-contacts with resistors dumps inrush current peaks, which could cause welding of main contacts and are also dangerous for capacitors.

Using pre-contacts eliminates this risk. First the pre-contacts are closed. After that, main contacts are connected and pre-contacts are quickly opened (within milliseconds.

The backup fuses gL(gG) should be scaled 1,6 to 2,5 multiple of rated current of contactors.

Ambient temperature: -15 °C, +60 °C.
Relative humidity: 40 °C 50 %, 20 °C 90 %.
Not designed to areas with corrosive gas, conductive gas, hazardous areas.
Avoid abnormal vibrations.

Installation hints

Contactors can be fixed by screws or by fast clip to rail. Requested rail width for VIVO 12,5K—20K is 35 mm, for VIVO 30K, 40K and 50K then 35 or 75 mm.
